Pro·pos´al n. an offer or proposition; a plan or scheme.

That is how the dictionary describes a proposal and that is what our proposal is. It's an offer of a plan that we feel may work out to the advantage of everyone in Nassau County.

Our proposals are not set in stone and may not be feasible for a variety of reasons. The point of our proposals is to show the elected officials of Nassau County that there are methods to sewage treatment already in use by other counties across the nation and beyond that cleanse the effluent so effectively that it is rendered completely harmless to the environment.

It is now the job of our elected officials to utilize the information provided in our proposals and formulate a proposal of their own that finds the solution to end the destructive practice of dumping almost 60,000,000 gallons of sewer effluent into our bay every day.

After much research, the members of Green Bay Parkers.org have come up with a plan to remove all sewage effluent from being dumped into the bay. Our new proposal, which has been presented to the new Nassau County administration, offers a realistic, long term and very obtainable solution to save the bays and estuaries of Nassau's South Shore from complete destruction.
