Want to help save the environment? Then start by saving YOUR environment right here in Bay Park. Join the Green Bay Parkers in our battle to keep our bay clean and find a real solution sewage dissposal. Help fight against the county's plan to dump on Bay Park. Let them know we do not want any additional sewage dumped into Reynolds Channel until we find a solution to prevent the destruction of our bay.

We are not convinced Bay Park could handle additional sewage in its present condition. Odor control is already an issue that won't go away, increased waste processing would only increase the stench. The outfall pipe into Reynolds Channel is choking the bay and drastically altering the ecosystem, yet we still pump millions of gallons of effluent from the plant into the bay on a daily basis. Our beaches have a brown foamy shoreline and they are closed numerous times over the summer due to high bacteria levels in the water. All these issues impact everyone in the community, including our non resident neighbors from the surrounding areas who use the bay for fishing and swimming. Speak out for the environment, YOUR environment! Tell Nassau County - Don't Dump on Bay Park!

Everyone can help out by contacting their elected officials and telling them the negative impact the Bay Park sewer plant has on their quality of life. Call, write or email your government representatives from the state, county, town and villages and tell them the county's "Master Plan" is unacceptable.

The best way to help spread the news is by reaching out to friends and neighbors and making them informed of the situation affecting the health of the bay. Let every resident from all the communites of Nassau County be informed and make sure that county government does its job to protect its citizenry by protecting the marine environment and our very quality of life.
